Sidorov, 19 (6/18/04), had a standout season with the Saskatoon Blades in the Western Hockey League (WHL). He led the WHL in game-winning goals (12), and was among the top players in power-play goals and total goals during the regular season.
He scored 50-38=88 points in 66 games, with a +8 rating and 66 penalty minutes. Sidorov was the first Blades skater to reach 50 goals in a season since 1995-96 and is one of nine WHL players with a 50-goal season in the last five years.
He was a key contributor, leading the Blades in various categories and also making an impact in the WHL Playoffs. In the 2022-23 season, Sidorov continued his impressive performance, scoring 40-36=76 points in 53 games with Saskatoon.
He also excelled in the WHL Playoffs, posting 9-10=19 points in 16 contests, helping the team reach the Eastern Conference Finals. Throughout his WHL career, Sidorov has accumulated 113-86=199 points with a +31 rating and 128 PIM in 177 games with Saskatoon.
Prior to his WHL career, he played for two seasons in the Belarusian Premier League. Pitre, who was selected by Anaheim in the third round of the 2023 NHL Draft, has been a consistent performer for the Flint Firebirds in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
He posted career highs in scoring and assists during the 2022-23 season and was an integral part of the Firebirds’ playoff run. Additionally, Pitre was named to the OHL First All-Rookie Team in the 2021-22 season and has recorded impressive stats throughout his OHL career.
Both Sidorov and Pitre have showcased their potential as rising stars in their respective leagues, making significant contributions to their teams and demonstrating their talent on the ice.
